Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many.
It is with mixed emotions that North Canterbury Basketball Association announces the departure of their beloved Girls Got Game Ambassador, Millie Knight. Millie has been an integral part of the NCBA community, taking the Girls Got Game program to new heights and inspiring countless young athletes along the way.
Millie Knight's tenure at NCBA has been marked by her unwavering dedication to the sport of basketball and her commitment to empowering young women and girls in the community. Her passion for the game and her tireless efforts have not only enriched the lives of those she worked with but have also played a significant role in the positive growth of the Girls Got Game program.
Millie Knight shared her thoughts on this chapter of her journey, saying, "As you all know, I have a huge passion for basketball and the women and girls’ space. I am so grateful to everyone in the NC community for being a part of my journey at NCBA and allowing me to help contribute to something so awesome."
Millie Knight is set to graduate soon with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics, and the next chapter of her journey holds exciting possibilities. While her plans for the future are still taking shape, she intends to explore opportunities in professional basketball or dive straight into meaningful work.
The NCBA community is invited to join us in bidding farewell to Millie and wishing her the best of luck on her new journey. Her departure marks the end of an era, but her impact on NCBA and the broader basketball community will undoubtedly endure.
Please stay tuned for updates on Millie Knight's future endeavours, as we eagerly watch this space for her continued achievements.
