Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many.
Each winter season, NCBA enters teams into the Canterbury Basketball Club Competition under the “NC” Banner.
This competition is a great step up from our 4D Freight FNBB competition for kids to continue their development. In alignment with our development philosophy, we aim to provide the opportunity for everyone to play who wants to.
The 2026 season runs from approximately the end of April to the end of August, with games played throughout Christchurch on Saturday and Sundays against clubs from the region. Additionally, teams train 1x per week.
NB - Please note that teams are required to do Bench duty either before or after their game with the exception of the U13 grades who have parents or supporters do their own bench.
Any queries please contact - gm@northcanterbury.basketball

CBA has restructured the womens grades to better align with the age and stage requirements of the community. A key point in this change, is only 2 girls per team are allowed to play up a grade, this is change from previous where girls have often played 1 or 2 grades above their age.
