North Canterbury Academy Program

The NC Academy Program is an advanced skills programme at Mainpower Stadium for players in the U14, U16, U18, U20 age groups  wanting to push themselves with experienced coaches.

NC Academy 2023/24 

Academy Dates 2023:
October 29th, 19 November & 17 December
Dates 2024 TBC

Session groups 

U14  =  aged 11,12 or 13 as at the 31st December 2024 (born in the year 2009, 2010, 2011)  

U16  =  aged 14 or 15 as at the 31 December 2024 

U18/20= aged 16 and above as at the 31st December 2024 

All sessions will be held at Mainpower stadium on the following dates -  

Training times for the 29th October only are as follows - 

Players born in 2009 or after (U14 - U16 age groups) -  11am to 1.30pm   
 Players born in 2008 or earlier (U18 and older age groups) -  1.30pm - 4pm 

Players are required to be on the court warming-up by the start of their session, 11am or 1.30pm. 

Training times for 19th November and 17th December

Players born in 2009 or after (U14 - U16 age groups) -  be 9am to 11.30am    Players born in 2008 or earlier (U18 and older age groups) -  11.30am - 2pm 

Players are required to be on the court warming-up by the start of their session, 9am or 11.30am.         

FEE: Academy costs are as follows: $480 for new attendees and $400 for returning. $480 includes the cost of the academy uniform

If you are looking for a kaupapa (purpose) which goes beyond the game of basketball which builds the person as well as the athlete.
